Episode 241: “How do I know when it’s time to change my marketing strategy?”

Today’s episode was recorded in the MOBE Film Studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Diamond member Steve Winn was visiting the film studio for his Diamond Film day. Steve wants to know how you know when it’s time to change your marketing strategy.

I explain that if your current campaign doesn’t appear to be converting, the first thing you need to do is to calculate your current life-time value of a customer in order to understand what your budget is for acquiring new customers.

Next, you need to evaluate the offer you are presenting.  If you are presenting an offer that converts for others, but isn’t converting for you, then the problem might be with the audience you are targeting or the ad you are using – not with the offer itself.

After evaluating those components, you can tweak your approach in order to find a combination that works.
