Episode 242: “Can you help me with the technical side of Internet Marketing?”

Today’s question comes from one of our clients who is attending our Immersion Program that followed the most recent Titanium Mastermind in Phuket, Thailand. Immersion is a one-on-one coaching program that is offered to a small group of entrepreneurs who want to take their businesses to the next level. We usually offer Immersion as an add-on program after one of our Masterminds.

Platinum Member Reri Collier, from Australia, says that she is struggling with the technical side of her business and she wants to know if I can help her with that.

I explain that Internet Marketing is a business about relationships – and the technical aspects of the tasks involved are not nearly as important as the relationship building that occurs as a bi-product of those tasks.

I discuss a task that I assigned our Immersion group to present a webinar that evening and explain that while the task seems highly technical before it is accomplished – once your first webinar is complete – you will see that it is very easily done and each one you do after the first one gets easier and better – if you follow through and continue to get comfortable with it.

I talk about the fact that Internet Marketing is about communicating to your list and developing trust with your subscribers. Relationship building is what creates sales.  Doing the technical things – like presenting a webinar – is simply a way to scale your business so that you can reach a bigger audience.  The key component here is the relationships you are building – not the method in which you use to create those relationships.
