Episode 297: “When attending a live event, what is the one thing I should do to get the most value out of my time?”

Today’s episode was recorded in the MOBE Film Studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The question comes from Drew in Scotland. Drew wants to know what is the one thing he should do when attending a live event to get the most value out of his time.

I explain that I attend a lot of events, but that I am, by nature, a very introverted person.  Because of this, I had to learn to push myself outside of my comfort zone in order to best utilize my time.

I share a great personal learning experience I had at an event just this past year.

I discuss two important points you need to remember when attending a live event:  First, make it a point to make a few really good connections in a specific area of your business and, secondly, followup with those connections after the event has ended.

I explain that just one of those good connections can cover the cost of many of those live events.
