Episode 466: “What is the best way for a small business to utilize a live event to draw in new customers?”

Today’s episode was recorded during the Diamond Mastermind  in Bali, Indonesia, after dinner one night with Diamond member Daniel Falkenberg who lives in Minnesota in the US. Dan wants to know the best way to incorporate live events into his business model in order to draw in new customers.

I talk about the fundamentals of a live event model and stress the importance of offering valuable content at a free event in order to attract attendees – as opposed to just inviting people to a sales presentation.

I discuss my first live event years ago and explain how my first time on stage was rough – but how it improved, with practice, as I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and continued to refine my presentation.

I offer some firm suggestions regarding the best way to market your event and how to follow up with those who register.
