Episode 630: “Currently I have gotten 100 conversions and 20 opt-in approvals, but no sales. What am I doing wrong?”

Today’s episode was recorded on the beach of my private island in Fiji. Recently, I made a request on Facebook for people to send in questions for me to answer about your business. I received some good ones that I am going to record for you over the coming days. Today’s question is from Charles who says that he has acquired 100 conversions and 20 opt-in approvals, but so far he hasn’t made any sales and wants to know what he needs to do to fix that.

I explain that what Charles really has is 100 clicks that have resulted into 20 leads and translate that to mean that 100 people clicked on your ad and then 20 of those 100 people provided their contact information so that they could be added to your list.

I talk about the statistics that use as a guide in understanding the number of leads you need to have in order to realistically expect to convert some of those leads into actual sales.

I discuss the importance of continuous improvement in your followup, especially when you are new; and making sure that you are providing good, quality content to your leads in order to build a relationship with them so that you can convert them from leads into customers.
