Episode 639: “What do million dollar performers do that is so different from average marketers?”

Today’s episode was recorded in my hotel during a recent stay in Singapore. Recently, I made a request on Facebook for people to send in questions for me to answer about your business. I received some good ones and I have recorded some of those for you. Today’s question is from Kelsa who wants to know what it is that million dollar producers do that others don’t that allows them to get such great results.

I talk about how this is a question that has come up many times over the years – just perhaps worded a little differently but that the answer is a lesson that is worth repeating because of its value.

I discuss the concept of the fox and the hedgehog whereby the fox has multiple talents in that he can jump around and run circles around the hedgehog; while the hedgehog has one very specific talent in that he can curl himself up into a ball to defend himself against any aggressive actions.

I explain that average marketers are like the fox in that they spread themselves and their focus over multiple actions while successful marketers are specialists at one specific talent and when they apply themselves to that talent, their results are amplified.
